Bruno Fernandes claimed a record-breaking 21st assist in a Premier League season as he set up Patrick Dorgu for the opener against Brighton.
Fernandes` corner was headed home by Dorgu in the 33rd minute, and the United captain was mobbed by his teammates to celebrate his record.
Bruno was tied on 20 assists with Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, but went clear at the top with a historic 21st assist in a Premier League campaign.
Fernandes` milestone earned him the Premier League Golden Playmaker award, handed to him after United`s victory on Sunday.
The Portugal star had already swept the Premier League Player of the Season award, as well as the FWA Footballer of the Year award, this year.
