Brendon McCullum was born on 27 September 1981 in Dunedin, New Zealand. The former Kiwi captain turns another year older.
McCullum became one of T20 cricket’s early superstars, scoring 2,140 T20I runs with two centuries for New Zealand.
In IPL 2008, McCullum smashed an unbeaten 158 off 73 balls for Kolkata Knight Riders in the tournament’s opening match.
As New Zealand captain, McCullum led the Black Caps to their first-ever ICC Cricket World Cup final in 2015.
After retiring from international cricket in 2016, McCullum moved into coaching and later guided England’s Test team alongside captain Ben Stokes.
