Scotland has named fast bowlers Josh Davey and Brad Wheal to their 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in Australia later this year. Davey and Wheal both played in the previous edition of the mega event, where Scotland advanced to the Super 12 after defeating Namibia, Ireland, and the Netherlands in Group A. Richie Berrington has been named captain after veteran Kyle Coetzer announced his retirement from international cricket earlier this year in July. Berrington was an important player for Scotland last year, scoring 177 runs and recording two half-centuries.
Richie Berrington, an experienced batter, was named Scotland's captain for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which begins next month in Australia. Matt Cross will be the wicketkeeper and Berrington's backup.

The squad also includes uncapped Brandon McMullen, who impressed as a genuine all-rounder in the Regional series and A team matches with both bat and ball. He will give the squad the option of being versatile in any role. Apart from Berrington and Cross, George Munsey and Calum MacLeod will hold the key with the bat.
All-rounder Brandon McMullen has earned his maiden call-up to the national tea, and the pace-bowling duo of Brad Wheal and Josh Davey, who weren’t part of the white-ball series against New Zealand in July, have also been called back into the squad for the multi-team event.
Davey represented Somerset across all formats this summer, finishing with 15 wickets in 11 Blast matches. Not to mention, Davey was the leading wicket-taker for Scotland in the World T20 last year, finishing with nine wickets in five games.
Scottish key players include left-arm spinner Mark Watt, fast bowler Safyaan Sharif, and all-rounder Chris Greaves, who won the Player of the Match award against Bangladesh last year.

What is Schedule of Scotland for T20 World Cup 2022? On October 17, Scotland will begin their campaign against the West Indies. The Scottish team will then face Ireland on October 19 and Zimbabwe on October 21, respectively. All games will be played at Hobart's Bellerive Oval.
