Australia has named a 15-man squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in the country later this year. The Kangaroos will be seen defending their title after winning the tournament in Dubai in 2021, defeating New Zealand in the final.
The same team, led by Aaron Finch, will travel to India for a three-match T20I series before returning to prepare for the mega tournament with matches against England and the West Indies. Notably, Australia won their first T20 World Cup last year in the UAE. The head of selectors, George Bailey, has welcomed David's inclusion in the T20 World Cup squad, with the omission of right-arm spinner Mitch Swepson to give Finch more options with the bat.

Hosts When the rest of the world arrives in Australia to compete for 20-over glory, Australia will have a significant advantage. Fast, pacy pitches in Australia have historically been the death knell for many a visiting side, particularly those from the subcontinent. However, that script has recently changed. India, for example, has gone toe-to-toe with the Aussies and won. That should instil confidence in competitors.
What is Schedule of Australia for T20 World Cup 2022? In the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup, Australia is almost certain to face New Zealand, England, and Afghanistan. Sri Lanka, the favourite to win their First Round group, is expected to be A1, while Zimbabwe or Ireland are expected to be B2. If Australia advances to the semi-finals, it will face either of the top two teams from Super 12 group 12, with India and South Africa the favourites.
