Jaffer gives a savage reply to a post alleging advantage to Team India

Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian Test opener, is well-known for his sharp and funny responses on X, particularly to English players.

Jaffer and former England captain Michael Vaughan have a love-hate relationship and don't miss an opportunity to criticise one other's cricket team's results.

An English cricket website said on Sunday that Team India is given an advantage in the T20 World Cup schedule, particularly about the scheduling of the competition's semifinals.

According to the website, Team India is aware that their semi-final match will take place in Guyana on June 27 at 8 PM IST, which is prime time for India. Meanwhile, the first semi-final will take place in Trinidad on June 26 at 6 AM IST.

The report also claimed that while the first semi-final has a reserve day, the second semi-final does not have one, even though the final is scheduled for June 29.

Wasim Jaffer responded to this on Monday with a straightforward and scathing one-line statement that said, 'It's one thing to know where your SF will be played, it's another thing to qualify for it. For example WTC Final have always been held in England but England have never qualified. #T20WorldCup'

In this season, Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will try to snap their lengthy ICC trophy drought.

The latest significant title win for India was in the Champions Trophy in 2013. In front of a heartbroken full house at the largest cricket stadium in the world, Ahmedabad, India advanced to the home final of the ODI World Cup last year but was defeated by Australia.

India will play the United States on June 12, Canada on June 15, Ireland on June 5, Pakistan on June 9, and the United States on June 12 in the group stage of this year's T20 World Cup.
