First time in a year, three Indian batsmen scored double centuries.

List A Cricket New Records: Ruturaj Gaikwad made a new world record in the quarter-final match of Vijay Hazare Trophy. He not only scored a double century, but also became the first batsman in the world to hit 7 sixes in an over in List-A cricket.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored an excellent double century in the quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Maharashtra captain Rituraj scored an unbeaten 220 runs. During this, he hit 7 sixes in one over. He has become the first batsman in the world to hit 7 sixes in an over in List-A cricket.

Rituraj remained unbeaten after scoring 220 runs off 159 balls. Hit 10 fours and 16 sixes. He hit 7 sixes in one over of UP's left arm spinner Shiva Singh. During this, the bowler had bowled a no ball. In this way 43 runs were scored in the over. It has also become the costliest over in List-A cricket.

Apart from Rituraj Gaikwad, this year in List-A cricket, N Jagadishan and Samarth Vyas also scored double centuries. This is the first time, when Indian batsmen scored 3 double centuries in a year. Before this, 2-2 double centuries were scored 2 times.

Narayan Jagadishan of Tamil Nadu scored 277 off 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh on 21 November. This is the biggest innings of any batsman in List-A cricket. He had hit 25 fours and 15 sixes. The team had scored 506 runs for 2 wickets. For the first time a team scored 500 in List-A cricket.

Saurashtra opener Samarth Vyas played an explosive inning of 200 runs against Manipur on 13 November 2022 in a match of Vijay Hazare Trophy. He faced 131 balls. Had hit 20 fours and 9 sixes. Due to this the team got a big win by 282 runs.

Talking about List-A cricket from India, a total of 11 batsmen have reached double centuries. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is at number-1 of 3 double centuries. He has scored all the centuries in ODI cricket. Has played his biggest innings of 264 runs against Sri Lanka. Apart from this, he scored 209 against Australia and 208 not out against Sri Lanka.

Talking about other Indians, Shikhar Dhawan scored 248 against South Africa A, Prithvi Shaw scored 227 not out against Puducherry, Virender Sehwag scored 219 against West Indies in ODIs, Sanju Samson scored 212 not out against Goa, Yashasvi Jaiswal against Jharkhand. 203, Karn Kaushal scored 202 against Sikkim and Sachin Tendulkar scored 200 not out in ODIs against South Africa.

Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman to score a double century from India. Now Rituraj Gaikwad has also joined this list. Many veterans are looking at Rituraj as an opener for the ODI World Cup to be held next year. Although he is currently running out of Team India.
