Weightlessness is when you feel like you're floating, with no gravity pulling you down.

It’s like being on a roller coaster when it drops suddenly- that light, floating feeling.

Gravity is still there in space. It pulls the Space Station down, but the Station moves forward so fast, it keeps falling around Earth.

Astronauts on the International Space Station float because they are always in free fall. There’s no up or down for them.

In space, “down” is just where your feet are. You can float in any direction.

At first, astronauts feel dizzy, tired, and sick. They also lose their appetite and feel confused.

After a few days, the body adjusts. Astronauts begin to feel calm and even happy.
