Cut two wooden sticks, one measuring 20 inches and the other 24 inches, to form the basic structure of the kite.
Make cuts on the rounded ends of the wooden sticks.
Place the 24-inch stick vertically and mark a point 6 inches from the top. Put the 20-inch stick horizontally at this mark to form a T-shape.
Secure the joint where the two sticks meet using string or tape.
Wrap a string around the ends of the sticks, passing it through the cuts made earlier on each end.
Once complete, you should see the basic diamond-shaped frame of the kite.
Place colourful glazed paper on a flat surface and carefully position the kite frame on top.
Fold the edges of the paper over the frame and firmly paste or tape them to the wooden sticks.
Cut a 24-inch string and attach it to the top and bottom edges of the kite to form the manjha (flying string).
Create a tail using colourful ribbons and attach it to the bottom end of the kite.
