Today fish farming is rapidly emerging as an industry and is also providing a large number of employment opportunities.
To further promote the fisheries industry, the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department is providing various facilities.
The Fisheries Division has prepared the National Fisheries Digital Platform (NFDP) with the aim of providing better services.
It works under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samriddhi Yojana (PM-MKSSY).
To provide digital identity, financial assistance (like bank loans), insurance facility and ensure traceability of fish products.
To avail the benefits under PM Matsya Kisan Samriddhi Co-operative Scheme, it is mandatory for the farmer to register on NFDP.
Along with this, interested persons or organizations can login at https://nfdp.dof.gov.in.
For more information, applicants can also get detailed information from the fisheries office of the districts.
After registration on the NFDP portal, information regarding training, insurance, financial assistance and schemes is made available online to the beneficiaries.
