Paneer Lauki Cheela

Paneer Lauki Cheela is a healthy and easy-to-make breakfast treat during fasting. Made with grated bottle gourd, kuttu flour, and paneer, this cheela can also be packed for office tiffin.

Ingredients required

200 gms paneer, 1/2 bottle gourd, 1/4 cup kuttu flour, 2 tbsp coriander leaves, 2 green chillies, 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, sendha namak to taste, 1/4 cup water

Step 1

Peel, wash and grate bottle gourd.

Step 2

Squeeze out the excess water and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add grated paneer and kuttu flour to it. Mix well.

Step 3

Now, add coriander, chilies, spices, and sendha namak.

Step 4

Add water gradually to make a thick, pourable batter.

Step 5

Heat a greased pan, pour a ladleful of batter, and spread gently.

Step 6

Cook on medium heat 3–4 mins till golden, then flip and cook the other side.

Step 7

Serve hot with curd or coriander chutney.
