Falahari Samak Cutlet is a healthy and easy-to-make snack dish that can be packed for office or school tiffin. Tap next to read the simple recipe.
1 cup samak ke chawal, 2 boiled potatoes, 2 green chillies, 1 tsp ginger, sendha namak to taste, 2 tbsp roatsed peanuts, 2 tbsp coriander leaves, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, and ghee for shallow fry
Wash and soak samak rice for 30 mins.
Cook with double water until fluffy (like rice). Let it cool.
In a mixing bowl, combine cooked samak, mashed potatoes, chopped chilies, ginger, peanuts, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Grease your hands with a little ghee or oil and shape into tikkis or cutlets.
Heat a tawa or pan with ghee/peanut oil.
Shallow fry cutlets on medium flame until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
Serve hot with vrat-friendly chutney and enjoy.
