Margot Robbie stunned in Elizabeth Taylor’s Taj Mahal Diamond at the Wuthering Heights LA premiere.
This historic jewellery piece links Hollywood glamour with Mughal dynasty heritage.
The rare heart-shaped diamond sits on a gold and ruby Cartier chain worth $8 million (approx Rs 74 crore).
Richard Burton gifted the necklace to Elizabeth Taylor on her 40th birthday in 1972.
The jewel carries a Parsi inscription that reads “Love is Everlasting.”
Its story began in the Mughal era with Empress Nur Jahan and Emperor Jahangir.
The diamond was later passed down to their son, Emperor Shah Jahan.
Shah Jahan is believed to have gifted it to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Cartier acquired the diamond in 1971 and remounted it with red gemstones.
Robbie wore the piece as a choker with the tassel draping down her back and sparked buzz.
