A bowler must land their front foot behind the white line (popping crease) during delivery.
After striking the ball, both batsmen must run and touch the ground securely behind the opposite crease line to score. Each safe cross adds exactly one run.
Hitting the ball past the outer rope boundary automatically racks up big scores without needing to physically run.
A batsman is instantly dismissed 'Caught' if any defensive fielder intercepts and holds the hit ball cleanly before it bounces on the turf.
If a batsman stops a ball with their pads or body instead of the bat, they can be given out LBW. The umpire rules the batsman out if analytical tracking confirms the ball was traveling straight.
