The Royal Challengers Bangalore team is performing well in the 18th season of IPL.

RCB team has reached the first qualifier by winning 9 out of 14 league matches and is close to winning the IPL title.

Let us find out who is the real owner of the Bengaluru team.

The current owner company of Royal Challengers Bangalore is United Spirits Limited (USL).

USL is a subsidiary of global beverage giant Diageo.

The RCB franchise is overseen by the team's chairman Prathamesh Mishra, who is also the Chief Commercial Officer of Diageo India.

The Bangalore team was initially bought by Vijay Mallya in 2008, when he was the chairman of USL.

In 2016, Vijay Mallya fled the country due to legal problems, after which the entire control came into the hands of Diageo.

The headquarters of USL company is in Bengaluru, which is why this company is also associated with the identity of the RCB team.
