One such player from Meerut is Sameer Rizvi, who is a right-handed batsman and right-arm off-spinner. Rizvi could be the first choice to be bought by the team in the auction to be held on Tuesday.
1. In such a situation, Rizvi, a resident of Meerut, scored the fastest century in the league while playing for Kanpur Superstar. He played a brilliant inning of 104 runs in 49 balls against Gorakhpur Lions.
2. Rizvi captained Uttar Pradesh to the trophy in the Men's Under-23 State A Trophy Championship. The team defeated Uttarakhand in the final and won the trophy for the state. Batting in the middle order, he played an inning of 84 runs in 50 balls.
Rinku Singh handed the cap to Rizvi on his debut for Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders can once again link up with Rinku by buying the player in the IPL 2024 auction. Players from both UP can be seen together.
Rizvi has played for India in Under-19 International cricket. In such a situation, Rizvi also has experience in international cricket. Meanwhile, if he gets a chance to play in IPL, he can also debut for Team India soon.
