Investors go all-in on AI as funding nears half of global total

In 2021, investors began going all-in on AI, directing $97 billion dollars to the sector while $605 billion went elsewhere.
In 2022, the all-in bet on AI held at $63 billion dollars, even as non-AI funding stood at $406 billion.
In 2023, investors stayed all-in on AI with $64 billion dollars, against $243 billion for the rest.
In 2024, AI funding jumped to $114 billion dollars as investors intensified their all-in strategy; others drew $213 billion.
By 2025, investors were all-in on AI with $202 billion dollars, nearly matching the rest at $203 billion.
From 2021–2025, investors going all-in on AI pushed its share to nearly 50% of global funding.
