Dahi ke Sholay is an interesting evening snack that can be tried at home. Made with bread slices and filled with spiced hung curd, this evening snack is quite filling and pairs well with tomato ketchu
1 ½ cups hung curd, 1 onion, 1 capsicum, 1 carrot, 2 green chilies, 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp roasted cumin powder, salt to taste, 6–8 bread slices, water, and oil f
Place curd in a muslin cloth and hang it for 2–3 hours to remove excess water.
Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl add chopped onion, capsicum, carrot, green chillies and coriander leaves.
Add the hung curd, salt, red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder. Mix well.
Refrigerate the mixture for 10-15 minutes so that it hardens a little.
Take one bread slice, trim edges, and roll it flat using a rolling pin.
Place 1-2 tsp of stuffing in the centre. Apply water on the sides of the bread to roll and fold tightly into a cigar/roll shape.
Heat the oil in a pan and deep fry the rolls over medium heat until golden brown and crisp.
Serve hot with ketchup and coriander and mint chutney.
