Indians have to declare the quantity of gold they are bringing from Dubai upon reaching the airport if it exceeds the duty-free limit.
If a person brings gold in excess of the duty-free limit and does not declare it. If someone smuggles gold by hiding it illegally.
If the gold is in the form of biscuits, bars or coins and is not declared in customs or if the gold is linked to black money or crime, then it is considered a crime.
