Celebrate the birthday of Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian opener known for his fighting spirit and match-winning performances.
Born on October 14, 1981, in New Delhi, Gambhir grew into one of India's most determined left-handed batters.
Gambhir scored 75 runs in the 2007 T20 World Cup final against Pakistan, helping India win the inaugural title.
His 97-run knock against Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI World Cup final played a crucial role in India's historic triumph.
After retiring, Gambhir entered coaching and became India's men's national team head coach in 2024, beginning a new chapter in his cricket journey.
