Aakash Chopra was born on September 19, 1977, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. He developed into a technically sound opening batter.
Chopra made his Test debut for India in 2003 against New Zealand and represented the national team in 10 Test matches.
He scored 437 Test runs, including two half-centuries, and was known for his patient batting and solid defensive technique.
Chopra enjoyed a successful domestic career, representing Delhi and Rajasthan. He played a key role in Rajasthan’s Ranji Trophy triumphs.
