Saute mushrooms, onion and garlic until soft.
Add broth and thyme and simmer for 15 minutes.
Place chopped carrot, onion, red lentils and vegetable broth in a pot.
Add salt and spice, then reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes

Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the chicken and vegetables are fully cooked.
