Donald Trump imposed higher tariffs on these 16 countries than India, know how much

Donald Trump imposed a 25 percent tariff on India, but there are many countries which charge much higher import tariffs than India.

Brazil is among the countries with the highest tariffs in the world, imposing import duties of up to 50%.

Myanmar and Laos charge tariffs of 40%, while Cambodia and Thailand charge as much as 36%.

Serbia has imposed 35% tariff on Bangladesh and 30% on Sri Lanka, which is higher than India.

Countries like Canada and Mexico charge tariffs as high as 35% and 30% respectively, which may surprise many.

Countries like South Africa, Algeria, Iraq, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Libya have tariffs of up to 30%.

China, which the US often points fingers at, imposes tariffs of up to 30%.

America has imposed 25% tariff on India, Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea.

The US has imposed 20% on Vietnam, 19% on Indonesia, 19% on the Philippines and 15% on Japan.
