Lakshmi Puja will be celebrated on Monday, October 20 this year.
The Puja’s auspicious timing is 7:08 PM to 8:18 PM, lasting just over an hour.
Pradosh Kaal is from 5:46 PM to 8:18 PM, while Vrishabha Kaal runs from 7:08 PM to 9:03 PM.
Amavasya tithi starts at 3:44 PM on October 20 and ends at 5:54 PM on October 21.
Devotees start the day early, take a bath, and offer prayers to their ancestors.
Being Amavasya, people also perform Shradh rituals to honor their forefathers.
Many devotees observe a day-long fast in devotion to Goddess Lakshmi.
The fast is broken only after performing Lakshmi Puja in the evening.
People decorate their homes, light diyas, and offer sweets, flowers, and coins to the Goddess.
The ritual is believed to bring wealth, peace, and prosperity into homes for the year ahead.
