Ajinkya Rahane has officially announced his retirement from international cricket, bringing the curtain down on a memorable career spanning more than a decade.
Known for composure under pressure, Rahane scored 5,077 Test runs in 85 matches, including 12 centuries for India.
Rahane's finest moment came as stand-in captain, leading India to a historic 2-1 Border-Gavaskar Trophy victory in Australia.
In an emotional social media message, Rahane thanked teammates, coaches and fans, saying the timing felt right to move on.
Though retired internationally, Rahane leaves behind a legacy of resilience, leadership and unforgettable overseas performances for Indian cricket.
