IPL 2026 also witnessed the explosive batting of star opener Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Abhishek, who has been scoring a lot of runs for the last 3-4 consecutive seasons, hit the bowlers to six in this season as well.
With this, Abhishek Sharma crossed the mark of more than 500 runs in a season for the first time in his IPL career.
In the match against Chennai Super Kings, Abhishek could only score 26 runs in 21 balls, but on the basis of this he completed 500 runs.
In 13 innings of IPL 2026, Abhishek has scored 507 runs, with one century and 3 half-centuries, while 46 fours and 38 sixes.
Abhishek, who made his debut in the IPL 2018 season, had earlier scored 484 runs in the 2024 season, which was his best.
Abhishek is the sixth SRH batsman to score 500 runs in a season. Before that, David Warner (6 times), Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Travis Head and Heinrich Classen have done so.
