You may fulfill your duties, but the outcomes of your actions are not yours to claim.
Focus on performing your duties without claiming ownership of the results, and avoid being attached to inaction.
Like a lamp sheltered from the wind, the mind remains steady and unwavering.
This illustrates the steadiness of a disciplined yogi whose mind is devoted to self-realization.
Interactions between the senses and external objects lead to experiences of pleasure, pain, heat, and cold.
These sensations are temporary and ever-changing; thus, endure them with patience, O Bharata.
One who cultivates faith and mastery over the senses attains genuine knowledge.
Through this understanding, they achieve lasting inner peace.
Someone who remains unaffected by sorrow and detached from fleeting happiness…
and who is free from attachment, fear, and anger is recognized as a sage with unwavering wisdom.
