Virat Kohli's contribution in the ODI format needs no introduction as he is still the backbone of India's batting order. It is worth noting that Kohli has played 13 matches in the Champions Trophy. He has scored 529 runs at an average of 88.16 and a strike-rate of 92.32.
Shubman Gill is undoubtedly considered one of India's most talented young players in the ODI format. He has played 47 matches and scored 2,328 runs at an average of 58.20 and a strike rate of 101.75. His impressive scores include six centuries and 13 half-centuries. The selectors have shown faith in Gill by appointing him as the vice-captain for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
