3 Reasons Why Pakistan Can Beat India

India and Pakistan last played in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Pakistan defeated India in that game by 10 wickets. That was Pakistan’s second win over India in overall ICC events. Both teams will have their plans in place for the big game.

1. Settled Opening Pair of Babar Azam-Mohammad Rizwan

India will specifically need to plan for three players namely Babar Azam, Mohammed Rizwan. Pakistan has perhaps one of the best-settled opening pairs in this Asi Cup. Skipper Babar Azam will open along with Mohammad Rizwan. The duo chased down Inia’s score of 151 in the T20 World Cup last year and won the match by 10 wickets. Both the batters are adept at playing pace and spin with equal ease. For India to win the game, they need to dismiss the opening pair as quickly as possible.

2.Asif Ali with Power-Hitting skills

A star Pakistan batter opened up on his power-hitting skills and plans for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. Gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022, star Pakistan batter Asif Ali spoke about his preparations for the upcoming T20I tournament. A known power-hitter, he revealed that he hits '100-150 sixes daily'. Speaking to PCB, he spoke about his batting strategy and explained its reason.

Pakistan face India for their Asia Cup opener on Sunday, at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. Asif also spoke about the importance of playing tape-ball cricket, as it helped him with power-hitting. He said, "Tape-ball cricket helps me a lot in power-hitting. In tape-ball cricket, you have to play with a straight bat and still head which increases your concentration.

3.Having a Settled XI

Pakistan at this point looks to have a better settled Xi heading into their opening game against XI. They named a 15-member side for the tournament and 11 of them pick themselves for the game. India, on the other hand, have given a lot of opportunities to too many players in the recent past. Thus there is a lot of thinking to be done as the selectors look to name the squad in a few days’ time.

Pakistan will be without star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi for the tournament. The pacer is out due to an injury. He has been replaced by Mohammad Hasnain.
