TOR vs CHA, NBA

The Raptors could certainly remain at or near the highest of the Eastern Conference. The defense should remain one among the league’s most disruptive units, and therefore the continued development of both Siakam and Anunoby offers some hope for an offense that took a step backward last season. Of course, the highest of the East promises to be more crowded this year, Lowry turns 35 in March, and therefore the departures of Gasol and Ibaka could put alittle dent within the all-important cohesion that has fueled the Raptors’ success on both ends of the ground .
The math just doesn’t add up for the Hornets (new additions + holdovers = ?) immediately , unless there’s a shocking surprise. meaning Hayward rediscovering his All-Star form, Ball front-running for Kia Rookie of the Year or (one of) Graham, Rozier, Bridges or Washington taking an enormous leap. That puts pressure on the whole group to accelerate the cohesion-building process — and asking Charlotte to try to to so without a transcendent star to assist circumvent that. If this team scraps its way into play-in territory, consider this season a hit for the Hornets. the truth is perhaps somewhere on the perimeter of that.
