The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made changes in the round of Duleep Trophy. Earlier it was to be held in Anantapur, but now it has been decided to hold it in Bengaluru. Apart from fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah and experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, some other star players of India are expected to participate in this tournament. However, senior batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma may be exempted. The decision to participate in the tournament will be left entirely to them.

For Duleep Trophy 2024 Jasprit Bumrah and R Ashwin along with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are expected to not play domestic tournaments. At the same time, there is full hope for Indian team's fast bowler Mohammed Shami that he may get a chance to play in one match after being fully fit, so that his match fitness can be proved. Currently, Mohammed Shami is on the rehab stage at NCA (National Cricket Academy) in Bengaluru. Last week, he has gradually included more bowling workload in his routine.

Let us tell you that the Indian team will play a total of 10 Tests in the next five months, out of which five Tests are to be played at home and five in Australia. Senior players are being given good rest for this series. Senior players will be seen playing in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. This series is to start from September 19.

BCCI changed the venue of a match of Duleep Trophy

A two-match Test series is to be played between India and Bangladesh from September 19, before which the Indian players are on a break because there is no series. In such a situation, BCCI has changed its method regarding the practice of Team India and asked the players playing Test and ODI for Team India to play in the first tournament of the domestic season, Duleep Trophy. Due to this, BCCI changed the decided venue.

BCCI had announced the schedule for the domestic season, in which Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh was made the venue for the 6-match Duleep Trophy tournament, but now the first match of this tournament will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
