What Prakhar Chaturvedi said after scoring a 404 for Karnataka U 19?

Prakhar Chaturvedi, the Karnataka U-19 standout who hammered a Cooch Behar Trophy record 404* against Mumbai U-19 on Monday, revealed that while batting, he made the opposition doubt if he'd beat their team's first innings total.

Mumbai had scored 380, while Chaturvedi led Karnataka to a stunning 890/8 victory. He became the first player in Cooch Behar Trophy history to achieve a 400, shattering Yuvraj Singh's previous high of 358 in 2000. He also became only the second player in U-19 history to score a quadruple-ton.

It feels great to have been able to perform in this type of match. It was an important game for us, and everyone had gathered to see it. For me, scoring 404 is a proud moment. Rahul Dravid's advice for Prakhar Chaturvedi

Chaturvedi also discussed his bond with teammate Samit Dravid, the son of India men's head coach Rahul Dravid, and his productive meetings with the icon.

I've been playing with Samit since I was in U10. I've known him for a long time, we're extremely close, and we've had some nice collaborations as well during academy or club games. 'This is our first time playing for the state,' Chaturvedi explained.

I've had four or five meetings with Rahul sir. I've had several conversations with him. He informed me that every time I practice in the nets, I should visualize myself playing in a match setting. Ask the bowlers where they want to play and play accordingly, he continued.

Chaturvedi began playing cricket at the age of eight and now also bowls leg-spin.
