Watch: Viral Video of MS Dhoni Smokes Hookah

A video allegedly showing MS Dhoni smoking a hookah has appeared on X, previously Twitter. The two-time World Cup-winning captain may be seen smoking and blowing on a hookah pipe at what seems to be a recorded social gathering.

At this point, it's unknown how recent or old the film is. MyKhel is unable to verify the video's validity. People on social media have reacted differently to the video. The clip caught many off guard because MS Dhoni has long been known for his physical strength.

Former Australia captain George Bailey revealed to Cricket.com.au last year that Dhoni likes to smoke hookah. Bailey captained the Dhoni-led Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL. Bailey mentioned that Dhoni would often put it up in his room, where other players would gather to talk cricket and sip on the hookah.

He likes smoking a bit of the sheesha or the hookah. So, he quite often would set that up in his room, and it was very much an open-door policy. You would go in and quite often find a lot of younger players there. For India or a lot of other cricket teams, it can be hierarchical, but he certainly broke that down.

Since MS Dhoni repeatedly stated last year that he is not finishing his career just yet and that he would decide whether to retire when the IPL 2024 draws closer and if he feels physically well enough to play, he is anticipated to skipper the team later this year. CSK decided to keep him for the next campaign.
