IND vs ENG 4th Test: England Confirmed Playing11 for 4th Test Match

IND vs ENG 4th TestThe fourth test match between India and England will be played in Ranchi from Friday. A day before this test match to be played from 23 February, England has announced its playing eleven. Spinner Rehan Ahmed and fast bowler Mark Wood have been dropped from the playing eleven while pacers Ollie Robinson and Shoaib Basir have got a chance in the playing eleven for the Ranchi Test. Robinson will be seen bowling for the first time in the current series. The visiting England team is behind 1-2 in the 5-match Test series. Ranchi Test is do or die for Ben Stokes and Company. By winning this match, it will level the series whereas if it loses, it will lose the series.

No reason has been given by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as to why fast bowlers Mark Wood and Rehan Ahmed were dropped from the playing eleven. Ollie Robinson is returning to Test cricket after about 7 months. He played his last Test match against Australia in Leeds in July 2023. Robinson has taken 76 wickets in 19 test matches. His best bowling in an innings of Test is 5 wickets for 49 runs. He has taken four wicket hauls 4 times and five wicket hauls 3 times.

Shoaib Bashir made his debut through Visakhapatnam Test: On the other hand, 20 year old spinner Shoaib Bashir has started his Test career through Visakhapatnam Test against India in the current Test series. He took 3 wickets in the first innings of Visakhapatnam Test while he took one wicket in the second innings. India had won this test by 106 runs. Bashir has 14 wickets in his name in 7 first class matches.
