• The play of the second day of the first Test being played between India and England in Hyderabad has ended. England's first innings was reduced to 246 runs. Ravindra Jadeja is unbeaten on 81 runs and Akshar Patel is unbeaten on 35 runs.

He could score 23 runs. After this, KL Rahul along with Shreyas Iyer made a partnership of 64 runs for the fourth wicket. Shreyas lost his wicket due to big shots. Jadeja scored the 20th half-century of his Test career.

Ravichandran Ashwin was run out after scoring one run. Ashwin and Jadeja were at the same end at one time. However, when Jadeja came inside the crease first, Ashwin was run out. • Jadeja is scoring 81 runs in 155 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes and Akshar is scoring 35 runs in 62 balls with the help of five fours and one six. Hartley and Root have got two wickets each for England. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed got one wicket each.
