The Thar SUV has been a game changer for Mahindra. The brand is preparing to launch a 5-door version of Thar in the Indian market, but just before that the company has introduced a new version of 3-Door Thar.The company has named it Mahindra Thar Earth Edition and it will be available in petrol as well as diesel engines. Transmission options include a manual and automatic gearbox. Mahindra has made only a few cosmetic changes in it which make the Thar Earth Edition different. Its exterior gets a new satin matte color with Earth Edition badges which Mahindra calls Desert Fury.

The exterior gets a new satin matte color with Earth Edition badges, which Mahindra calls Desert Fury. The ORVMs and grille now get body color accents. The Thar comes with desert-themed decals and alloy wheels with branding inserts. Apart from this, Mahindra and Thar wordmarks are in matte black color. The 4x4 and automatic badges are now finished in matte black with red accents.
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition interior update
The interior gets a VIN plate on the dashboard. The cabin looks more upmarket due to the leatherette seats, beige stitching and Earth branding on the seats and the headrests have been given a dune design. The door pads have been finished in Desert Fury. Apart from all this, there are dual-tone AC vents, thematic inserts on the steering wheel, piano black and dark chrome for the gear knob, HVAC housing, center gear console, cup holders and Twin Peaks logo on the steering wheel.
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition Variants and price
The petrol MT of Mahindra Thar Earth Edition is priced at Rs 15.40 lakh, while the AT is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh. After this, the price of diesel MT is Rs 16.15 lakh and its AT variant is Rs 17.40 lakh. Let us tell you that all these prices are ex-showroom.
