OnePlus 12 smartphone series and Buds-3 launched in India
Tech company OnePlus today (January 23) has launched its flagship smartphone series OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Buds 3 in the global market including India. Apart from this, the company has also introduced OnePlus Buds 3.
OnePlus has introduced the new series in two variants OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R at the 'Smooth Beyond Belief' event held in Delhi. The company has already launched both the smartphones in China. The price of OnePlus 12 has been kept at Rs 64,999 and the price of OnePlus 12R has been kept at Rs 39,999. Whereas, the price of OnePlus Buds 3 has been kept at Rs 5,499.
OnePlus 12 has been provided with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for performance. Also, the phone has support for 50W wireless charging. At the same time, OnePlus has claimed that Buds 3 will provide 44 hours of total battery backup and 7 hours of playback time in 10 minutes of charging. Touch volume control is provided in the upcoming Buds 3.
OnePlus Series: Availability and Offers
The sale of OnePlus 12R and Buds 3 in India will start on February 6 at 12 noon on official and e-commerce websites. At the same time, the sale of OnePlus 12 will start from January 30. Booking for both the devices has been started.
There are some offers available on OnePlus 12 series and Buds 3. This includes a cashback of Rs 1,000 for ICICI Credit Card and OneCard customers. No-cost EMI option and benefits worth Rs 2,250 are available for the new OnePlus phone.
OnePlus 12R: Specifications
Display: OnePlus 12R has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 2780x1264 resolution. It is equipped with an LTPO 4.0 panel with Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, 4500 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It works with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Processor: For performance, the smartphone has been provided with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is last year's flagship processor. RAM and Storage: The phone comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.
Camera: For photography, a triple camera setup is provided on the back panel of the device. It includes Sony IMX890 50MP primary sensor, 112-degree 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro lens. At the same time, a 16MP front camera is available for selfie.
Battery and Charging: For power backup, the smartphone has a 5500mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging. The company claims that it charges from 1-100% in just 26 minutes. This is the largest battery ever installed in a OnePlus phone.
Software: OnePlus 12R runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0 out-of-the-box.
Other features: IP64 rating, Wi-Fi 7 is available with OnePlus 12R.
OnePlus 12: Specifications
Display: OnePlus 12 smartphone has a 6.82 inch Quad HD + display with 3168x1440 pixel resolution, which is made on 2K screen LTPO + panel. It works at 120Hz refresh rate. Features like in-display fingerprint sensor, hyper rendering, hyper touch and peak brightness of 4500 nits are available on it. For the safety of the screen, it will get the protection of Corninga Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Software and Hardware: OnePlus 12 5G phone works on Android 14 based Oxygen OS, which has been given Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Koryo chipset built on 4nm fabrications for processing. This is an octa-core processor, which runs at a clock speed of 3.3 GHz. The phone has Adreno 750 GPU for graphics and advanced vapor cooling system for gaming. OnePlus flagship smartphone has 12GB and 16GB RAM options. At the same time, for storage it has 256GB and 512GB storage options. OnePlus 12 smartphone works on LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technology.
Camera: For photography, triple camera setup has been provided on the rear panel of OnePlus 12. It includes a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with F/2.6 aperture, 50MP wide angle lens with F/1.6 aperture and 48MP ultra wide angle lens with F/2.2 aperture. This camera setup can capture photos ranging from 3X optical zoom to 120X zoom. A 32MP camera sensor has been provided for selfie and video calling. This is a 5P lens which works at f/2.4 aperture. Hazelblade lens has been used in OnePlus 12, which is considered best for mobile photography.
Battery: For power backup, the device has a 5400mAh battery. To charge it, the phone is equipped with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging technology. The company claims that with this technique the phone can be charged 50% in just 11 minutes and 100% in 26 minutes.
OnePlus Buds 3: Specifications
OnePlus Buds 3 comes with three microphones, it has support for low latency of 94ms.
The wireless earbuds also support active noise cancellation, which supports LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio.
Buds 3 have touch control with support for music playback and volume control and many other features.
The wireless earbuds offer 3D surround space sound effect and dynamic bass technology.
The earbuds have a 58mAh battery and the case has a 520mAh battery.
The case of the Buds 3 has USB Type-C for fast charging support.
